Sometime in the late 19th century at Cawnpore, then a colonial hub of East India Company, A conservative family of father Narayan Das & son Baijnath got engaged in the trade of Jewelry & money lending known as “Naraindas Baijnath” furthering the trade in early 20th century Son Baijnath along with younger brother Rambharose established yet another firm named “Baijnath Rambharose” now in pursuit to establish the next generation kin in the year 1924 yet another foundation stone of the family-run jewelry trade was laid in the name & style of “Baijnath Ramkishore Bankers & Jewellers".
Since 1924, from the colonial era to independent India, with Lala Baijnath & lala Rambharose passing away early third generation took over the charge, among the brigade of six brothers young Rameshwar Prasad then aged just 12 started displaying his trading skills. In the next three decades Rameshwar Pd. Ji was in full command of the business & now with the rest of all five brothers parting from the business, it was time set for the fourth generation to step into the ancestral shoes, accordingly sometime in 1977 Pradeep Agarwal then aged 14 joined the business stream and the father & son duo took further the torch of trade lighting even brighter from decades to century to the millennium change.
This new millennium came with new opportunities in the domestic jewelry market, diamond became the buzzword. Capitalizing on the moments, the organization expanded its area of activities from only retailing to manufacturing & whole selling of Diamond Jewelry as a result within a few years it had reach in ten cities serving more than 50 retailers in northern India. Moving further in 2004 the organization came up with yet another new retail showroom at Kanpur itself & by now Baijnath was a name to reckon with in the Diamond Jewelllery segment.
The seed of Trust which was sown in the late 19th century, has now grown into a tall tree with fruits of success and a tradition of commitment. With the third generation Rameshwar Pd. Ji bestowing blessings of his vast experience of 75 years & fourth generation Pradeep Ji giving a cutting edge to the name & fame of the organization now in this centenary year of BAIJNATH LEGACY its turn of the fifth generation Anurag Ji to add a new dimension of innovation & spread the wings of success from domestic to overseas market with the saying “Indian by tradition - global by commitment”.
